To build a great small group, you need to foster a strong relational environment. You can help that happen by following a few basic ground rules. These will encourage group members to treat each other with love and respect, and above all, to build trust in your group. It’s a good idea to review them from time to time.

  • Don’t pretend that you’re perfect.
  • Don’t try to fix each other.
  • Don’t be afraid of silence.
  • Use “I” statements.
  • No side conversations.
  • Keep it confidential.
  • Listen.
